Pattern: A Definition

This is not a pattern.

The link goes to, a site where people are allowed to post their own patterns to share with the community.  It’s a good idea in theory, but there’s always the risk that people think the few notes they make will be enough to call it a pattern.

The idea sounds easy-to-make and fun, but the way it’s written, I just can’t be arsed.  If a writer won’t take the time to put together something even remotely resembling a pattern or tutorial, then the same writer probably won’t take the time to explain further if you find yourself completely confused and lost in the lack of explanation.

  1. I know your pain! I can’t stand it when I find a pattern that makes no sense… especially when it’s something interesting!
